Now Viewing: indian_styleTag type: General 胡坐 This tag describes a sitting style where the rump is on the floor (or seating surface) and the legs cross at the ankles pretzel style. It is also called as agura, 胡坐, in Japanese, where it is the traditional informal male sitting style. It is called tailor's style in several European languages, and sometimes described by the phrase cross-legged or sitting cross-legged. Achieving this pose requires external (lateral) rotation of the femur in the hip socket. A similar pose, but with the legs meeting with the soles of the feet touching instead of the ankles crossing, is called butterfly sitting. An opposite sitting pose with internal hip rotation is called wariza.
