Hey guys, remember how Gelbooru streamed the Ghostbusters movies for Halloween last year?
Can you do Bridge on the River Kwai sometime too? : D

And yet live action is everywhere.

Both Danbooru and Gelbooru allowed live action at one point. Danbooru banned it long ago but Gelbooru hasn't.

Live action is still Japanese at least... I wish there were more Asian images that weren't porn though.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=810534

NFSW it still technically be, while porn it is not, but its hilarious.

I'm laughing at the comments under pics accusing gelbooru of racism when non-Japanese artist images are deleted.

Usually, the people who comment things like that do it on the images I have no issues with deleting.

I'd be lying if I were to say the rule didn't have it's benefits...

I'm fine with the Jap-only rule, but I was under the impression that only animated pictures were to be on this site, nothing live-action.

I'm with Emiline on that one. I just assumed it was another anime image hosting site. When I saw real folk on it, it seemed a bit off.

Feh the non-Japanese rule is a bunch of hypocrisy, they allow so many artists on this site that aren't Japanese and that's only cause they're popular and the mods are too lazy to get rid of them.

^This. I was told that sigurd's work has been here for four years. A great number of people already knows Sigurd isn't japanese. I started using tags like "deletion_request" and "prohibited_content" on his newest uploaded art because flaging images does nothing and people keep deleting my tags to try to keep his art here. Is it you just didn't know he wasn't japanese or you already knew but just don't care. This I need to know because if you guys don't care... I'll just back off on the topic.

You can't tell me you haven't got around to it... you had four years.

You may not have noticed that the tag war you are in is mostly with just one other user. You shouldn't be doing that. If you really think something is prohibited, you should probably go tell an actual mod.

That said:
The idea that "good" Western artists stuck around after the ban was a theory even I held for a long time when this thread was first made.

it was as if artists of higher quality were given exception to the rule. Granted one of the possible reasons for the Non-Japanese ban in the first place is because of the poor quality of many Western artists (that users were uploading en masse for some reason). Though I'm probably bullshitting myself; there are tons of good Western artists and shitty Japanese ones.

But I was never a sigurd fan myself. I got the original Japanese version of Sigurd: "Double Asterisk" for that. (Though it could be because Sigurd is a copycat of Lala that he has stuck around for so long)

Also, it's not just non-Japanese art that gets flagged and sticks around, it takes them time for any flagged pic. I've flagged pics that have watermarks or are duplicates, etc. and they're still around.

What you have to remember is you are not the only one who flagged pics; other members do too. So there is more than likely a ton of flagged pics they have to have time to go through to not just delete, but confirm the reason for deletion first, then delete if necessary.

Furthermore, the staff are people too and have lives outside this site. So you have to understand that as well.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe it's because you were tag poisoning?

I am getting into broken-record territory at this point, but this was how the rule was/how it should still be, quite frankly. If only people stopped doing the en-masse shit.

It kind of annoys me Xalrun's post is already a few pages back, because I agree entirely with it.

The idea that "good" Western artists stuck around after the ban was a theory even I held for a long time when this thread was first made.

That's more or less because nobody was sniffing out the good Western artists to get rid of.

I actually quite enjoyed the rule until that started happening. It is a good way to get rid of absolute shit that would otherwise stay, after all. Like I said, it has it's benefits~

I'm not allowed to even see the flagged queue. ;_;

It came to mind, but I think those tags could help mods more when it comes to deleting non japanese images.

@ Daijin: I already know that. Everyone has a life outside this site. This site also has more than one mod.

Something I wanna know still remains tho. Will they delete his images off this site or do they not care. If anyone leaves a comment on his pics saying something like "This should be deleted" and stating the true reasons why it should be deleted always gets reported and down voted to shit.

Sorry for my language, but his fans kiss his ass hard.
