I DO watch it for the plot, the fact that an anime has zombies and blood and gore like a good movie kicks ass. the Fanservice... and as we all know: theres lots of it. is a nice added BONUS :D

I just rewatched the series on Blu-Ray and, you know, there really isn't that much fanservice. WAY less than Queens Blade or Aika. About the only part with total nudity is the bathing scenes in one episode. There's more naked breasts in Strike Witches. The show does have a good plot too. I see no reason someone can't watch for the plot or the fanservice or both.

I honestly watch H.O.T.D for the story, and because I really enjoy Anime. But keep in mind when dealing with the Japanese, they have the ability to turn anything, even a zombie apocalypse anime, into a softcore porno.
