The next day everyone was pregnant? Damn the mitosis rate of their gametes must be off the charts!

Only 'more than half' of them.

Also, their gamete production rate doesn't really matter---only their time of ovulation does. Then again, they wouldn't be able to confirm the pregnancies since it takes more than a few days for the embryo to implant / the placenta to start secreting hCG.

Even then, if the characters had planned the 'meeting' so that only girls who had ovulated prior to it could participate, and had some magical (or maybe intrusive) way of confirming conception, the plot would be solid.

Y'all are debating about the scientific accuracy of all of this, but at the same time you're failing at some pretty basic reading comprehension.

The text says that that the next day more than half of the women were pregnant. Not that they were VISIBLY pregnant. Not that they KNEW they were pregnant. Just that they WERE pregnant.

Generally speaking, a woman is considered to be pregnant when one or more of her ova have been fertilized and have then subsequently been implanted in her uterine lining.

Sure, realistically speaking there's no way that that would have all happened within a day of having sex, but your bog-standard porn/hentai logic dictates that fertilization can easily happen within that timeframe (usually within moments of being creampied for the last time in a session of sex), and similarly hentai narrative norms dictate that, once an ovum is fertilized, it's a given that the woman in question is going to be pregnant and therefore it's usually considered a pregnancy even before implantation occurs.

So the plot stands up to examination without making any kind of exceptions beyond the leeway given by the usual boilerplate hentai logic.
