I doubt Pixiv took his account down, most likely he purged it himself. His Pixiv account's still there without any images and all personal info removed, even the avatar is gone:

Pixiv would have deleted the account entirely. My bet is the comments and all made him worried that his art could cause him problems in real life, and he purged everything to avoid that possibility. If he is back, I'll bet it's not on Pixiv this time.
