For some astoundingly perplexing reason I can't help but admire the art.

The sickeningly disturbing image here is actually very well portrayed, if not obviously deranged. I would have to call this beautiful, if such a thought didn't make my gut wrench.

For instance the white of snow is given combat by the darkened trees, seemingly tainted by the dark arc, sucking on the miasma protruding from dying girl's broken spirit. The contrary could also be true, maybe the act itself is egged on by the corruption shown through the darkness, the very evil that crawls on the tress, mimicking frost given off by the snow; only the artist knows.

You can tell that this is not a random act but an emotional crime, the girl's right eye is blank but her right isn't, meaning she is still conscious. Despite her consciousness however, she makes no attempts to fight back and her eyes show nothing but pure acceptance. Either the girl has been in a very long battle with this man and has given up, or for some reason this man has damaged her psychologically enough that she feels she deserves this. From the look on her face, she feels relieved, like the world is better without her. At least, she seems to believe "his" life will be better without her. She's, happy.

In a lot of ways I could give the artwork itself crap, but the way it portrays the scene and the girl's emotion... It is beautiful. I'm a fan of red eyes so I may be biased, but I couldn't imagine another color working so perfectly with everything to create this scene. I find myself staring into them endlessly, feeling both sorry for her and admiring her strength.

The has either watched or experienced choking before as well because even though the girl doesn't look sad at all, her eyes are welling up with tears. When someone chokes or their airway is blocked, their eyes tear up. I used to have coughing fits so... The attention to detail in such a thing while portraying the rest of the scene just makes this beautiful, while saddening to a painful level.

So thank you artist, for making just that; art.
