It'd be great if Gelbooru told me how many images it found with the tags I've given it. There's a marked difference between finding 2000 images and 120 images - the latter result set I might actually manage to browse through, while the first clearly requires more accurate tags.
Another great feature would be the ability to edit a tag - the end result being that the tag is updated everywhere, not just for one image. It'd greatly help correcting typos and joining tags - hairy_pussy and pubic_hair essentially being the same but the latter hugely more popular. I imagine that this would be moderator/admin feature - it'd be too easy to misuse.

The second part you were talking about would be the reason we have aliases. I think at least that is what you were getting at. The first part is simple enough, I'll add that in somewhere on the left menu area sometime later tonight, maybe.
