As you suggested a little while back after upgrading to the current gelbooru I upgraded to Firefox in order to keep using the site. So thanks for that bit of advice! I read the forums recently and saw you were having some issues and had to turn off anonymous post editing? I can understand the need to do that, but did you also have to turn off anonymous image uploading?
Yes, sadly both had to be disabled. We had people uploading child models and borderline cp. The editing has been disabled for anonymous since the bots have gotten smarter and have been spamming our tag database. I really don't want to add a captcha to prevent them so it's easier to just require you to log in to edit.
Do you have a timeframe for if/when either of these features will be enabled again? I'm getting a bit of a backlog of unshared pictures! Or should I just get over it and register..?
Anonymous uploading will be enabled again sometime this month. Not entirely sure when. Now that we have a few mods in training, it's a lot easier to moderate images. When they become full mods they can delete the CP by themselves. At that point, I don't think we'll ever disable anonymous uploading again.
It'll be tons easier for you to just register an account.
Oh and a small request, if possible could you add a small "search" icon to individual pages near the "

(Supports wildcard *)" area? The PS3's web browser works pretty well with gelbooru, except for that part. You can't enter text and hit enter... need a button like on the main page.

How small are we talking? 1x1 px submit that's transparent?
