I don't really care if the rule changes or not, as long as changing it doesn't turn this site into another fucking Hentai-Foundry, Rule34 or FurAffinity. There's been one or two Non-Jap artists I've deleted that I felt should have been able to stay on the website, but it's easy enough to find their content elsewhere if you have any idea where to look, all deleting it here does is make you have to go to a different website for it. I really don't get the big deal.

I'd personally call putting every 4chan meme you can into a Touhou image turning it Western, but that's just me.

When Danbooru deleted all of Zone's work, the mods and janitors claimed it was because "Zone SUCKS"... and refused to admit that it was because it was paysite material.

This rule is bullshit. The only reason Gelbooru exists is because Danbooru had a brainfart and started restricting access to explicit content. It is the users who contribute who define this site, not its owners. You don't even have original content like Deviant Art or Hentai Foundry.

I've seen this stupid crap before and nowhere does anyone give any reason why Japanese art only is allowed. The idea has so many holes you'd think they're cooked up by brains afflicted by mad cow disease. For one a lot of Japanese artists don't produce anime. Anime isn't a Japanese phenomena and it hasn't been for decades. The art style itself has evolved beyond what the term originally meant and a lot of artistic techniques developed by Western artists are incorporated into today's remains of the original anime. To wit, the arguments for 'japanese only' can be summarized as nationalism, racism, or just plain weaboo yellow fever.

You are complaining about the rules just like every user who claims Avatar is anime, Ben10 looks anime, and completely ignore the fact that this board is dedicated to Japan artwork, with written in exceptions. Plenty of other booru sites out there that will accept anything. I'm sure Xbooru will enjoy your patronage. I'll go right ahead and delete your single contribution since it is a doujinshi page.
