Sadly, MLP fans are so desperate to get their work on here they create pixiv accounts to give off the illusion they're Japanese just so they can get their work onto here. Course if you look at their profile or google their name you'll usually find out they're American, or their DA lists America as their status. Or it's just increadibly obviously American like using 'lol omg u mad' type of internet slang.
Man, they're so desperate to be seen like anime.

Pixiv accounts don't fool me. A large number of artists I reported in this thread before becoming a moderator were Pixiv artists.

I attempted to read through the whole thread, I got to 16 after a few hours so I jumped here. I hope this hasn't been brought up yet but I made this suggestion on a picture when I was still an annon: How about a "non-Japanese_artist" tag that's auto blacklisted for all users and anons? I did read that it had caused problems in the past, allowing non-Japanese artists, but I honestly think that if they're hidden from normal view it would help curb the overall quality problem. I dunno, I'm just trying to enjoy as much art from my favorite time wasters without having to jump to a million sites. I'll be reading through the rest of this thread to see if maybe I can think of better solutions.
