I've noticed that some uploaders upload a number of images at once with one tag on each, and then go back and add a bunch of tags to them right after they finish. I personally don't have any problems with this, since they're still getting their images tagged in the end, even if it takes a minute or two after the image gets uploaded before they get put on.

However, if they aren't doing this, and they're new, the best thing we can do is send them a message explaining our tagging policy. Anyone who's worked in retail can tell you that no one ever actually reads signage, so it's likely that they just didn't bother to read any of the important stuff on the upload page that you're supposed to read, even though it threatens them with being banned from the site.

If they don't comply after that, report them here or directly to a moderator.

Just keep in mind that a lot of the time when people break the rules, they legitimately don't know that the rules are even there. It's a lot easier to avoid getting worked up over things if you keep this mindset. Generally I let things slide until the point where they start being rude about things, like complaining about their tags getting reset back to our standard ones (like that dragon incident), or screaming obscenities about how the rules aren't designed to treat them like a customer instead of a volunteer.

I think a few were keeping tabs on this behavior. gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...mp;s=profile&id=94245

This must be the same person/bot but with a different name.

Spelling censored with cencored as Daijin (I think) pointed out with a different one some time ago is what's giving it away to me, along with uploading duplicates.

This is like his seventh username already.

This guy seems as stubborn as Punished Girl. At least his additions themselves aren't quite as annoying.

His tendency to post low resolution duplicates of perfectly good images we already have irritates me above all else. So the additions are far worse than the shitty tag work he's doing.

When I report a dupe... I don't just state the reason as a dupe. I include the original post in the reason.

Edit: Occasionally I see him upload something new. (Happened just a few minutes ago) The resolution is still small for some reason every time but at least there's something original.

I wonder if he's downsizing every image he uploads for some reason.

Not sure if this counts: gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...ag_history&id=1254852

Danbooru has it listed as a trap: danbooru.donmai.us/post/show/975019/ (It's also listed as such on the artist's page, but I know that doesn't matter much.)

Yes, he's a guy, and therefore a trap.

Per the definition of the trap tag here at Gel, if you can tell the person's gender with total certainty in the thumbnail alone, then he's not a trap:

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=wiki&s=view&id=227

Though, I've seen the trap tag on pics where the guy is crossdressing and has feminine features, but has their penis fully exposed.

Now that I look at that link, it says to use the transgender tag for males who transform or are transforming into females. On a whim, I decided to look up the saotome_ranma and ranma-chan tags and the genderswap tag is used instead.

.... Even women are traps, eventually.

I was really just bringing up Daniruu's habit of removing the right tags from that picture. It's a minor thing, but still.
