Gelbooru is the only website I can go to for some reason.

Even google.com isn't working.

Even then, the Gelbooru forums took over 2 minutes to load.

Ladies and gentlemen, today was a good day. Why? Because justice has been served.
Recently I got scammed on eBay, for €5, by a professional seller and eBay didn't do shit about it. Despite me presenting the evidence, writing and calling them.

And 2 weeks ago I got scammed again. This time by a scumbag, simply lying about the charger he was selling with the phone. Instead of the original fast charger, the scumbag gave me a slow noname one. Contacting the seller was just a waste of time, as he kept on insisting this was the original charger. He didn't agree to return €7, in order to buy the cheapest original charger straight from China. So I was left with no choice, but to open a dispute (honestly, with little hope to achieve anything). The seller didn't bother replying in the dispute itself. And now, after 10 days with no reply, I got an aswer from eBay. I get to keep the phone and I just got €30 back.

I wish I could see his reaction. The phone (good as new) has been sold €35 below the usual used price (because he didn't list it properly). And now he loses another €30... SELF-PWNT!!!!!!1111one, justice, delicious fail², karma and I GOT PAID.

Ebay typically favors buyer in disputes. Though not the most fair method, I understand why they do this. Assuming buyer isn't an idiot, it is easy to talk your way into a refund or return regardless of the truth.

Amusingly the exception is on high value items (1,000 USD or more)

Even Ebay's forums didn't believe me when I told them, because it isn't mentioned on the site or anywhere in official policy. But if you buy an item this expensive and there's a problem, the case goes to a unique customer service division literally called "High Value Claims" and they actually favor the seller by default.

Ebay actually required us to get the item appraised before we were allowed to return it.

I've been involved in a few Ebay cases here and there as both buyer and seller, and I've never had Ebay ask me to do something like that before. Until I found out that even the email address that HVC uses is different. The implications can be a bit odd. If you sold a trash bag for 2,000 bucks and some idiot bought it, the buyer might have to get the bag appraised... which just sounds ridiculous for everyone involved.

Still got my money back on it though. The appraisal does chip away at the money you lose though.

Firefox had an update on Christmas so I decided to uninstall it entirely.

Internet speed recovered afterwards.

Could it be that Firefox was sapping my internet even when not in use? I suppose, but I'm expecting bad causation and correlation.

Whatever the case, my internet's performance has improved for now.

Well, perhaps ebay reacts differently in different countries. Even after contacting support and presenting the proof in the chat log of the official dispute, the professional seller still didn't return me the money I had to pay for the return shipping of a broken item. First I wrote them and got a completely idiotic answer, not related to my case in any way, without addressing any of the points I had complained about. Then I phoned them and talked to a woman, who seemed very professional and appeared to know what she was doing. I was asked to mail the evidence to support's email and was told they'd take care of my case. But after doing that, I got a reply telling me they didn't even know what the problem was and why I had called. That's when I fking lost it. Each time it was a different person, but all of them were women and none of them bothered to do their job properly.

If you're getting bhenchods, you'd be getting that no matter what country you were from assuming its an English speaking one.
