Mine is pretty cool, too.

EDIT:
I bought a Humble Bundle near the beginning of the month to support a charity stream, but I don't want every game on it. I also already own a few things from here. I claimed most of the stuff that I want (I don't know what comes out tomorrow), but if any of the forum regulars or mods who don't frequent the forums want anything from it, please let me know and I will PM you the Steam code. Be specific about the game that you want, and don't ask for "Everything"

Here is the bundle page, with a list of all the games: www.humblebundle.com/yogscast-jingle-jam

For reference, I already claimed Guilty Gear XX, Psychonauts, King Arthur's Gold, Magicka 2, SteamWorld Dig, and Hue

I am doing this here, instead of its own topic, because I don't want a whole bunch of randoms appearing, asking for free stuff. This is a gift to all the regulars.

I still haven't into next gen gaming.

By the time I'm ready to, something better will have come out.

PS4, WiiU and Xbox one just kind of seemed to be... the same as their predecessors. The Switch seems like it will be the same as well. The magic of going from NES to SNES or SNES to N64 or Genesis to Dreamcast even and so on... hasn't been replicated for me for some time.

It seems that immense hype for new game platforms was an emotion unique to my childhood only. Not sure I'll feel that again until VR gets its bullshit sorted out. Even then, VR's developement is so gradual, the magic is kind of "quarter behind your ear" levels.

Kids are easily impressed. Childhood emotions aren't something you can hope to relieve again. Especially if it concerns something you've seen again and again and again and again...

The problem is that graphical quality has plateaued out, and that is what most people use when they evaluate new consoles. The graphical quality in the new gen is similar, but the processor is better, allowing games to do more complex things.

At this point, innovation in gameplay is a better draw for a console than graphical fidelity, because the top tier graphics are going to be equally good on every console. No point in competing with graphics, because it won't set you apart, unless you try weird and different things.

Well, last gen couldn't even do 1080p and now that 4k is a thing, consoles still have room to grow in the graphics horsepower department. But yeah, you cant compete with graphics, if you use the same hardware, lol. Exclusive titles are where the consoles really compete.

I use a HD monitor with a HDMI cabel, and I don't really see any significant difference between 720p, 1080p, 4k, or whatever the current fancy buzzword is. It is marginally better, at best, and identical most of the time. And marginally better graphics are not a selling point for me.

I prefer fun gameplay that does not simply amount to "Hold the Circle button for the game to auto-combo as you watch" (This is my only complaint with FF15. The rest of the game is great) and a deep, elaborate story. A well designed world, and a varied cast of likable characters is also important. Graphics need to reach a certain standard (I dislike minimalistic pixel graphics), but are not the main focus.

HD, FullHD and UltraHD are buzzwords. 720p, 1080p and 4k are actually numbers representing the pixelcount, though 4k is a little misleading in this regard. Perhaps you can't tell the difference, because you use a monitor, which I assume, is small. Try this pixelcount on a 50" TV, which is standard nowadays and see how that'll work for you. Yes, graphics aren't everything, but let's also not underestimate them. And besides, 30 fps suck ass.

What's the deal with the stereotypical "fun gameplay vs graphics" argument? Who said these were mutually exclusive? I want both. Your argument is invalid.

Also I wanna share my experience with simulation games, such as racing. Regarding computers, the better hardware you've got, the more fps you get, the better driver you are. It's a fact, hardware matters. ESPECIALLY in fast-paced games.
