How did you know tag for artist when uploading from pixiv? Before I wrote this tool I googled something like "site:danbooru.donmai.us pixiv.net/blablabla?id=154532"
And japanese tag translation via google translate was uncomfortable too. So I wrote little console script to make life easier.
It looks up for artist tag by source link (mostly pixiv) or image itself (using saucenao).
get it here: github.com/lordnord/gelbo...ookup/releases/tag/v0.2.1 (.exe and source)
It's not connecting gelbooru so you can't use it as a bot. It just provides you information about image, all tag/source edits you have to do yourself.
Pixiv registration is needed.
I know, this thing must be rewritten in javascript for convenience but console is good too.
It would be nice if someone will fix my bad english in it.

It's a useful tool. I used it just this morning.
But what bugs me to all hell is that there seems to be no unified means for artist tag creation across the boorus. For instance if you create a brand new tag for an artist and begin using it here, on Danbooru the same thing can happen and they decide to use a different tag. This happened to me a few weeks ago although I think I had the tag changed on Danbooru. The problem is that if Danbooru uses a different artist tag we have the problem of an artist having two different tags here.
Well anyway, I hope this tool becomes a solution all boorus can use, in order so that ambiguity is decreased for artist tag creation and there doesn't exist the problem of boorus using different tags for the same artist.

Yes, Danbooru is like a tag dictator.
And tag creation itself isn't easy. I plan to add some other candidates for tag, not only pixiv login. twitter username maybe. it seems twitter is quite popular in Japan, and many pixiv artists use it.

This tool changes nothing because it's rely on Danbooru. (note: if artist on danbooru has no wiki page, this tool returns nothing) All tags are from there except tags listed in "gelbooru_only.json" file. It's very tiny list of tags found by myself. and that list needs to be extended and frequently updated.
