After finding the artist of an upload I did in the past I got the same picture with better resolution and pixiv source, is there a way to update it? Or I have to upload it again and request delete on the old one

If you're talking about post #2973140, the larger size is already up on post #2987177. There is no way of changing the image once it's been uploaded.
