I don't watch the Naruto tv series nor have I read the manga, but I've noticed that a majority or posts with Hinata in it has a lot of dislikes. Can someone who knows about the series explain the reason for all the hatred here?

i don't really know but a lot of Naruto's pics are highly downvoted here which is a little bothering.. i mean.. i wonder if they think about the work behind a pic.. at least have some respect for the artist..

Wow that's pathetic of that person to do something like that. And it sounds like that whoever is doing the all the random downvoting really need to get a hobby or something.

And I haven't came across any other series here with this problem, what other series are affected?

One series I noticed, gochuumon wa usagi desu ka? is affected. And from what I've read from the comments, it has to do with anything hetero or yuri.

Narutards never accepted that their favorite ships weren't meant to be so they're basically taking their revenge on the pictures. Gochuumon is just a bad case of "het is ew" (as TVtropes calls it), where some fans will defend that the characters are 100% lesbian at the cost of their lives if necessary, and that any hetero picture is a crime akin to real-life rape (seriously, read the comments). It reminds me of Gundam Wing during the late 90s, except it was with yaoi.

I think it's safe to say that truly invested shippers are just not very well-adjusted people in general :x

I never really got into naruto so I'm not sure. I haven't noticed the Hinata hate but I have noticed Raikage hate and some of his pictures get mass downvoted. From my perspective (not a naruto fan) Hinata is a big breasted cutie so I see no reason to dislike her, but that's my shallow point of view.

However, I'm a dbz fan and I don't see the same strong dislike of characters of dbz that I see with naruto fans.

Some massively butthurt fans wanted Naruto to end up with Sakura so they downvote Hinata pics because she "stole him". it's just a horrible petty fan butthurt thing.

In case of the Raikage, it's racism. He's dark-skinned, so he's a black dude stealing from the "superior whites". Of course, it's dumb, as all Naruto characters are supposed to be Japanese but you need to be dumb to be racist to begin with anyways.
