Favourites are gone
Posted on: 06/23/16 05:56PM

Greetings.

Lately I can't see my favourites at all. Whenever I enter my list it displays empty and the error "posts is not defined" is returned by index.php
And my profile says I never added favourites gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...p;s=profile&id=159934.

Any leads on how to fix this, if it's possible to do it on my own?

PS: Tried it both on Chrome and Firefox.

EDIT: So, if I add a new one, it gets displayed for a while and then it's gone again.

Recently i had some problems with my favorites too-!
Whenever i added new post/re-added posts, my lovely older ones disappeared, but when i removed some favorites they were still there..
Just today my problem got fixed by the sitemaster but... yep i don't know if it now works with you too since i don't know if it's similiar...
Try adding more favorites and see if they're visible ...?

Splendid edit: try to make a page of 50 favorites and see if it's visible.. a full page on a favorite list has 50 posts..

You have not favorited any images yet.

I had 3 pages of favs and they just went away. And, as I said, whatever pic I fav disappears in no time from my list.

Change your account password and try again.

1. Changed the password
2. Logged in (the site logged me out after changing pass)
3. Went to favs. Was empty
4. Added a pic to favs
5. Went to favs. Pic was shown
6. Reloaded page. Pic was gone

So as far as I can tell changing the pass changed nothing.

All I can think of is that you are clicking remove on the image, or some tool you have added to your browser is visiting that link causing it to be removed. (Some weird prefetch issue following hard links for some reason?)

That was the issue. I script I wrote for preloading the actual images as thumbnails was sending a request to the fav removal links by mistake.
I'm really sorry for making you lose your time with something I brought upon myself. I sincerely apologize.

On a different page, is there any periodic backup of this fav list? Even if they can't be programmatically restored I'd be grateful if I can somehow go one by one adding them back or downloading them so this doesn't happen again. Not that I'm really optimistic on the chances.

As punishment for your silliness, and because I don't want to go through loading a massive database backup file to restore those favorites, you are on your own for now. It would take a quite a few hours to import the database to access your favorites.

OK u_u. If there's no easy way to get them back in any form I'll just suffer my loss in silence.
I really should've backed them up :'(
