I want to share some more of my NSFW (traps and such) stuff but at the same time don't want to be found out because I have a somewhat distinct artstyle. Like how I know big name artists who know Joel Jurion but I know that's common knowledge that he draws a lot of shotacon. So would I be better off not posting it or am I overthinking this too much? Also I apoplogize if this isn't the place for a topic. I'm just curious

This is the right place for any type of discussion. As an artist, I know exactly what you mean. However, this is a matter of what you're comfortable with. I don't see how anyone could make this decision for you. But ask yourself this: if people don't accept you for who you are, well then maybe they aren't your friends to begin with?

Alternatively, you could try to mask your style, by doing things differently. Gonna upload a few examples later.

One thing that might help with your decision is that artwork by non-Japanese artists must be approved by the mod team on an image-by-image basis to be allowed. Additionally, self-posting your own artwork is strongly discouraged.

Depending on how famous you are in some other field, no one will actively take notice. They may just realize over time that it has the same style, but a lot of artists borrow styles from other artists, so it's really just a wild guess/accusation that you can feign ignorance and amusement to.

@Jerl, he never said anything about posting it here. And even if he posts it elsewhere, the issue still remains...

@lozertuser thought of that too. But being linked with something, you want to avoid, is bad enough already. Accusations and rumors don't actually require proof...

Actually this is the only place I have posted it. But I guess I'll do the style masking like you suggested. Elsewhere of course

You'll have to be thorough. My friends were still able to recognize me, while I was practicing this. I don't know how good you are, but let's say you've got problems with anatomy. Your mistakes (things you don't notice) can be linked with you. It's not just your style you have to be careful about. Proportions too.

Another idea would be doing collabs. That masks your style automatically, but creates a dependency.

Trying a different medium can alter your style too. Digital, pencil, crayons, copics, black pen (can't erase), water paint...

They are all sketches, but have been drawn around the same time period. The first 3 frames are from the same session and show the same character.

P.S.: Oh yes, good luck not losing your own style.

It's a tiny risk, but for someone to recognise it they would most likely be browsing trap pictures to begin with.

Assuming that nothing has been blacklisted, here, you can easily stumble upon traps, just by looking at the newest uploads, comments, or just searching for the usual tags, like sex, anal, fellatio, cum_in_ass, ass, bikini/swimsuit, doggystyle, spread_legs, from_behind, etc...

Point taken. At the very least, they'd be the type to browse 2D porn.
If they ask you about it, a simple "it's not gay if it looks like a girl" should suffice.
