What does 'Lock Image' do?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I couldn't find anything in the help documents. I clicked it on accident trying to add an image to favorites, and it just redirected me back to the index. Want to make sure I didn't mess anything up.

Don't worry, it only works for moderators. It allows them to prevent regular users from making edits to an image page.
