Final Fantasy XV vs Europe?

I don't get a comment on here gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=2690808

Europe complained about it, but you know they're loving this. ;)

Seems the other commenters got what he/she meant, but I don't get it. I looked up the wikipedia page for Final Fantasy XV and did not see any about a controversy with Europa.

Can someone enlighten me?

//Edit
If it's about the all-male cast in the party it is good to say that there is more opposition to that from the USA/Canada than all of Europe together.

Also, the ones who stir up a shitstorm even prior being able to play the game and call it sexist, have they all been calling FF-X2 sexist as well, cause it did have a female-only-cast in that party. Now, when by definition feminism is for equality, why is a all-female cast okay and a all-female cast later not okay? You can hardly say the FF series is sexist with the strong female characters it had, and especially considering FF-X2.

But I agree at part, having watched the available clips about Cindy Aurum .... they are either shallow or meant as a parody against feminist, dunno which would be worse. The southern drawl her voice actress over-exaggerated did not help at all...

The game's director Hajime Tabata reported that Europeans who played the demo last year complained that Cidney was too sexy. Sid is usually portrayed as an old man.

Americans complained that one of the (not final) voice-overs sounded too much like Batman. That's all I know.

^ Okay, now too sexy is an issue for a computer game. Now I get what the commenter meant. Thanks for the heads up...

I wonder in which languages they will be porting it. I realized on wikipedia that it will be the first FF game not only to be sold in Japanese and English, but some other languages as well...

These bitches will ALWAYS complain about something in a game they're not even making. Just ignore them!

There are already French and other language versions of many other FFs, including 7.

Is there a list that, well, lists all available languages? Like, I found a demo called "German FF XV", but only the menus are in German, the Voice acting was Japanese with subtitles. (The one version), not watched the 2nd video to see if the VA was English or Japanese, but for now found no German dubbed version...

Also, bitches gonna bitch, whatever you do. But there are also a lot of good folks around, both males and females, so let's concentrate on these who are worthwhile and ignore the others as best as we can.

Final Fantasy Wikia is probably the best source for this kind of information. Also, I was just saying that Final Fantasy's had been translated into other languages for a long time. You didn't specify "voicing" or "first game to be voiced"...

Personally, I'm fine with the voices in their original language (JP), or even English, since it's my second language. Voicing in my language (French) is just cringe inducing in every game it's being done. Whereas anglophones think English voicing is embarrassing, I don't really notice it, since I don't really know how "cool" English voicing is supposed to sound like.

Final Fantasy XV vs

I just saw what you did there.

It depends, usually I try to find an English dub, or one in my native tongue. But I also watch dubbed stuff, but it is stressing, you have to watch what's going on on screen while reading the text as well, and often they have lots of subbed text in short time, since many dubbers only keep the text on screen when people talk, even when the time span is too short to read it all, and then there is 6 seconds of silence (and the dubbed text long gone) and me thinking "you dorks, you could have kept the subs on screen a bit longer, everyone is clever enough to get that it's the same dialogue from just 2 seconds ago", but no! I either have to skip that detail or stop and go back... </digress>

VA is usually okay in my native tongue, unless it's hentai. I don't even read hentai in my native tongue, I always look for the English equivalent. Dunno why, but in my native tongue either the translators are using more rude/insulting terms than the English translates, or it just appears more rude to me, or maybe the English version is more distant, somehow, since it is fantasy, while in my native tongue it is to close at home and therefore feels too "real", dunno...

I was just stating my personal preference.

FF15 was called Final Fantasy Versus 13 before they changed it to Final Fantasy 15, if it can help.
