A 27 second webm took about 3.5 minutes loading and playing for me. Is anyone else having this kind of problem? Is there a known fix for this issue?

My first guess would be that it has something to do with the servers being in the Netherlands. It might just be because of the distance to the servers.

That's the thing, though. Only the gifs and webms are giving me this problem. Static images load just fine.

That's because images tend to be around 100-250KB on average. Webm has a tendency to be at least 1MB in size. Big difference in transfer times the larger it gets. However, we were at max capacity on our line. So, we had to dick around with some things to fix that. Hopefully it'll be faster soon.
