I'm not going to pay a monthly payment. I would rather just change sites then pay a monthly fee, but I wouldn't mind making a one time contribution to get rid of ads for good. Why can't we do that instead? Danbooru does it.

You only need to donate a total of $10 on Patreon to have your ads disabled for life. This means one month at the $10 tier = ads gone (presumably) forever.

This is updated manually, so if you choose to do this, you might want to let lozer know that you have done it so he can expedite enabling it on your account. Note that it won't be enabled until the payment is actually received, which usually happens at the start of the month with all the other patrons' donations.

All Patreon funds go to our coder. The site sees none of that, and likely won't for some period of time if we never reach the fourth milestone.

Just donated $10 on patreon. How do I redeem my reward now?

We wait until Patreon processes the payments and notifies us of payments successfully being processed. This ad free setting is a temporary offer, we will eventually no longer offer a way to remove ads, and all accounts with it now will be grandfathered in.

Isn't there a way to just donate it now and get the rewards now? What happens if I select 'No thanks, I just want to support Gelbooru'? Will my payment go through immediately instead of waiting until the first of the month?

That is just how they process payments.

I thought you could change it so that it processes immediately? I know with some patrons I have supported they charged up front.

Our system was set up with the current payment method in mind which works well to where I won't be changing it.

So seeing as I don't want to be charged on a monthly basis, I can just make a 1-time payment of 10 dollars so that I can have the ads disabled?
