Recently I've realized that I almost never read hentai manga. Is that weird?

Erotic content is _challenging_. The skill level and the audience expectations are higher. WRITING a good sex scene is not the same skill as drawing it- and the people who have both skills can do a lot better for themselves than drawing hentai(or working in porn in general.) Double this problem if the work is also VOICED, because voice acting erotic content is also an advanced skill... If any of the creators fail this check it turns out funny, uncanny, bizarre, gross, or otherwise not sexy.

The fantasy I'm building towards in my head is also going to diverge from whatever the author is writing and that's not a failure on their part, it's just inevitable.

And eroge I just... don't care about. I don't multitask or space out when I'm looking for that sort of content, and I don't want to mix porn with my other interests. All the above problems also apply to this medium!
