When I read that Ryuuken was going to take Orihime "back [home] in my car", I had niggling little feeling in the back of my skull that he meant he was going to pull her to an office and show her what a REAL MAN does to shy, buxom young women, systematically destroying all of the "established" pairings for Orihime and basically just reducing Uryu to a blubbering mass when it's revealed that SHE'S HIS NEW STEP MOTHER.
But then I realized that this is Bleach, it's written for little boys and man children, and the very concept that she should take Uryu to a hospital instead of just rejecting his wounds from existence as is her broken and godlike power that she just forgets exists all together is proof that nothing ball tighteningly awesome and mind breaking could ever happen.
Then I read that there's a plot and ability to regain Ichigo's powers and I confirmed it; status quo will be restored any chapter now, and the whole "dramatic" build up to the defeat of Aizen will be negated because Ichigo without his magic sword is too scary an idea, and could lead to MORE INTERESTING THINGS happening to less used characters.
