Not quite. We're using danbooru's tagging for Maria's character. when she's in her witch alter-ego (she's in a totally different outfit), use the maria_(umineko) tag only. The ushiromiya_maria tag is for her normal self. The Danbooru staff felt that because both are totally different personalities that they should have separate tags and so we will maintain this tagging scheme.
Only if both alter-egos are in the same images (there are a few images I've seen with both) will both character tags be allowed on the same image.
The original material also separates them as two characters with ushiromiya_maria having her name written in full kanji and the witch alter ego written with only her first name in katakana and romanized in all capital letters, MARIA.
