Yeah, that's just freaking absurd. It's not that I dislike the Gawain or the Lancelot, but those added parts look too flimsy and easily destroyed, and serve little purpose. If it were animated, it would be far too complex in it's current form, and if it were a figure, it would snap off too easily.
Where are they getting these redesigns from, anyway?

Been a while since I watched the show, so forgive me.
I would suspect it to hover over the battlefield, not actually fighting. Powered by several sakuradrate(?) Cores and ygddrasil drives(?) It would incoporate the
perfect defense(piano thing) or 2 operated by lelouch to provide protection for the knightmare/ or ground units when needed. Suzaku would handle offensive strategies( I would hope the sword was really a dedealus"hadron" engine that was featured at the end of rr2). Making it the perfect "sword&sheild". Or at least I think...
