She is one of the Espers of FF6, named after the Hindu goddess of light, wealth, fertility, courage, luck, beauty, fortune and wisdom .

On the SNES American port, her name was changed and localized as Starlet and her sprite was changed so that her cloth covered her breasts and changed the strip of cloth over her waist look more like a dress.

Future English ports however used the original Japanese sprite.
