I would be so pissed off if the writers made my character with a so erratic battle score. I mean... Pikachu should be able to sweep half of Paul's team because he has the most experience of ALL the Pokemon in Ash family. Still, the writers always make Pikachu look invincible in a couple of battles, but a complete wuss in the rest of them (like against Fantina's Drifblim).

Also, If I were the writer, the battle would be SO different. Buizel and Gliscor would be truly the heroes, KOing 2 of Paul's Pokemon each. Pikachu and Torterra would have some glory too, KOing Froslass and Electivire respectively. And Infernape and Staraptor would be the weakest. Yeah, I hate Infernape and Staraptor SO MUCH... the bird is just a filler in Ash's team (no interesting background story) and that monkey is a bad copy of Blaziken and Charizard alike (He copied Blaziken's typing and Charizard's background story, duh!).

Pikachu could beat a legendary-pokemon single-handed Regice.
But can't win a possible level 67 Eletivire.
And then next season lost to a level 5 Snivy
