Maybe Celine will have a sudden growth spurt, and Rito will turn out to be adopted.

In the case of the latter, I feel sorry for his dad. He's already got a job that keeps him away from his family all the time except for maybe a few minutes each year. His own adopted son stealing his wife away would probably kill the old man.
