I'm imagining something different here. Uchiha Fugaku and Namikaze Minato are in some sort of competition. Uzumaki Kushina and Uchiha Mikoto are having some sort of "my husband is better than your husband" argument. During the competition, both husbands get injured, or otherwise knocked out, forcing the wives to drag them during the race. The lump and looks of determination makes me think this.

I think Anon5 was sorta right, but my view on it is that Fugaku started to fall behind and Mikoto ran up and knocked him out, threw him over her shoulder, and took that shit into her own hands. And then Kushina was like "Oh hell naw" and started dragging Minato along because fuck if she's gonna let Mikoto win.

pbandj, they are related but it's Clan relations rather than what we'd consider a familial relationship, depending on the size of the Uchiha Clan they could be cousins many, many times removed.
