I played through the game again with a spear/shield pyromancer, and I learned about the story of sif, I had to fight him to get the ring, and I felt so bad

I felt so much worse, when his health got low and he started limping

Hmmm Sif is actually one of the easiest bosses to be beat, both in vanilla where he is more aggressive and his harder, and post patch where he becomes more tame and fair.

The trick to be beating him is stay directly under his lower chest to avoid most of his attacks, and also if unsure, the Great Shields are the best for beating Sif and taking his hits without losing as much Stamina.
