It's weird if you think about it. Return of the jedi came out in the 80's, and this scene showed Jabba as a seedy slave trader. But, nobody thought it was awkward for kids to see that; nobody complained. But, then they wanted to dumb it down, and we get Jar Jar Binks in the newer movies.
