He is sick, so he's cuddling up to Squirtle to lower his fever. Charizard was simply too hot for him.

Actually Anon 2, Charizard is buying Red ice cream for the heat wave that's happening. He tries to show him, but Red replies "Too hot! Away!" Thus sulking Charizard.
