Yanno, the design of that Gilgamesh makes a lot more sense than the Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night one. I mean, really? Golden full-plate armor? That sort of armor didn't even exist back then...
Also, the cross aside, that Excalibur is cooler than the FZ/FSN version. Why the fuck would a weapon crafted by fucking *faeries* bear a christian symbol? Idiocy.

Also Lancer looks way more Celtic. I always sort of wish they had stuck with this original story and design. Shirou is so annoying.

I agree that Cu and Gil both look nicer here, but the armour Saber is wearing is also anachronistic, in both Prototype and F/SN.
Anon 1, you have to keep in mind that Fairies are Elementals, which wear the shape of human imagination as a shell. It makes sense their creations would likewise be shaped by humans, especially one formed from the hopes and dreams of humanity.
So let's not pretend a Christian symbol for a Christian King's sword is an idiotic thing.

As for Gil, if anyone has an excuse for armour that doesn't match the expected trends, it's him, what with having all the worlds Proto-NP's / all of humanity's potential (as in Extra CCC, where it was said he apparently has the Uruk equivalent of a Submarine, among other things).
