Funny thing about Lucina/Marth: the Prince Marth unit you get from the DLC is really just Lucina's model with a different head and the exact same animations, and he can equip Lucina's Parallel Falchion. The one labeled "Marth Only."

New headcanon: Lucina is Marth reincarnated.

my take is devs really wanted to genderswap marth and this is the most lore-friendly way they could pull it off. if you ignore all the back story and personality and look just at character design, that's what she is: girl marth. delicious, delicious, girl marth.
