This game isn't as terrible as people say. The soundtrack is also one of the best in the series.

It still blows my mind that people actually like garbage like X6 and Sonic 2006. I mean, fucking really; what is a BAD GAME to you people?

They really should have just stopped at X5 and jumped strait to X8 from there. X6 and 7 were pretty bad.
