I have always wondered how much do Gym Leaders get paid? I used to think their pay was good, especially for those before the fourth gen games.What do you guys/girls think?

I never really gave that much thought before. I suppose the League they're in would have to pay a fairly decent amount to support the Gym, based off of things like positioning on the map(is it a good area with people coming through often?), how many sub-trainers there are on the staff list(more people means more costs), how many challengers apply on a regular basis(can they generate enough revenue through challengers to maintain the current standard?), and frankly how skilled the Gym Leader in question is(Constant losses detract from revenue, but constant victories may not be good for the area). Badges can not be cheap to produce, either.

also although I'm a bit foggy on it but several gym leaders seem ti have responsibilities outside the parameters of testing trainers. Several have been shown to have alternate means of revenue, The cerulean gym puts on its water theater thing and several gym leaders have been shown to have students. There is probably some sort of tuition payment going on there there.
