I've always been fascinated by concept art that shows characters going in a completely different direction. Was Nami supposed to be the cyborg shipwright instead of Franky? Was she even the navigator? Did Arlong give her those injuries? Some other villain? Was Nami going to be a more physical fighter originally rather than the weather-based one she became in canon?

It's interesting to think about the what-ifs.

Also, fun fact, Nami appeared in this outfit when she first popped up in the live action show.
