sort of. that particular asagi is the representation of the demonic blood inside her (which is where the Taimanin get their powers. the irony is discussed)
eventually Asagi learns to use that power more directly, resulting in the berserker state shown in Asagi 2, where she gets the demon form claws and a DBZ like aura, but keeps her normal hair colour.
With asagi 3 on the horizon, we'll likely be seeing more of Asagi's demonic side. and given how fiiiiine she is, I am all for it!

Its not really necessary. aqcuiring the games and some way to understand them (english patch or translation rig) isn't that hard.
