Nah this aint official. GGO Arc was released about over a year ago and from I seen so far, there werent many art work that is outside from the novel or even ran illustrations and SAO series wasnt that big till now.

It's from the 5th and 6th novels. And no, this is not official art. Should be especially obvious if you check the artist tag.

Also, Anon2, the SAO series has been huge for years. It got millions of unique hits even back when it was unpublished and hosted on the author's website, then skyrocketed to crazy new levels of popularity once it was finally published for real 3.5 years ago. I'm guessing you just didn't hear of it until now, is all, and you happen to be one of those people who think that you yourself are somehow a complete example of the general population of the world alone.
