They are in a virtual world and they described what getting married was in that world. So if no rule against multiple marriages, then no problem.

I know this is a stretch BUT they are not in a modern-day setting in that world, so Liz could be Kirito's mistress. In the past, a royal did have mistress that got along with the wife. (lol learned that from doctor who episode.)
