Because it is turned a bit oddly, like she was about to bend her arm to try and scratch her back or something. It isn't a position you could stand on very easily, but it is a doable position at least.

Well she could only be putting weight on the left, the elbows straight so it wouldn't require much strength to hold yourself with temporarily...
