It's not that braces are that strange but with the contents of the picture it's really odd. It's like "I want to make a sexy Pokemorph Gabite but those teeth are a bit scary. I know! How about I add a corrective dental instrument? That will definitely boost the sexy!"

It just gets more confusing the more you think about it! If he/she wanted to fix the teeth why didn't they just do that? This isn't real life, you don't need to start with braces, wear them for a while, then take'em off and you're good. You can just make it so. So why?
