No, in fact, there will be at least one new Strike Witches image everyday, so they're hardly forgotten.
If they ever become forgotten, better to go out silently than people desperately clinging to it and doing awful fanart.

Even old 80s and 90s anime still have new images created every once and awhile. And the quality isn't always so awful either.
