the laws are stupid because they were imposed by the US during the post-war occupation. maybe try not to make it so obvious that you're too young to be on this site? or does your country's education system just fail that badly?

The censorship of porn was something from long, LONG before the post-war occupation. Dating back to Meiji period of the 1800's, as a matter of fact.
Also, the US actually lessened the censorship of porn as well as unbanning some of it. The number of sexual assault cases after that plummeted as a result.
