Wow not one person pointed out that this is parodying the Persona series that is sad. Also is no fool that would imply that he is actually good. In the persona series the Fool is typically the main character that gets the wild card ability, lets them use all arcana cards.

@Anon5. Yes. We get the idea for making Ash as the main character with the wild card ability. But, its also a play on words, because let's face it. Ash is a cheap knockoff of Red is clearly a substandard of a trainer. Therefor making him "The Fool."

The fool is perfect for Ash because he is a wild card. He can use any type of Pokemon to its full potential, and he has actually improved greatly and matured a bit from when he began his journey (excluding the monstrosity that is B/W).
