You know, I was hopeful as fuck it would be a better retelling/sequel. But then 3.0 happened and we get one of the sloppiest "in media res" I've ever seen in anime. We don't get any explanation for almost 30 minutes of what the fuck has happened. Then, there's a 14 year time jump. This is followed by everyone not telling shinji -anything- and just yelling at him and treating him like shit.
Then, later on, they yell at shinji to not pilot eva and to just stop without explaining what will happen if he doesn't.
yeah, great way to convince someone you retards. Just yell at him and try to kill him. Don't talk him down. That'll totally fucking work.
It's like everyone in 3.0 suddenly had temporary down syndrome.

After seeing the teaser with Unit-08 and (the supposedly dead) Unit-02 sewn up the middle, power rangers style, I'm just waiting to see how much worse they can butcher the series as they sloppily hammer the "Final" nail into Evangelion's coffin.

After seeing the teaser with Unit-08 and (the supposedly dead) Unit-02 sewn up the middle, power rangers style, I'm just waiting to see how much worse they can butcher the series as they sloppily hammer the "Final" nail into Evangelion's coffin.

Highly unlikely anything from the teaser will make it into Final. The teaser for 3.0 was practically just a red hering with the slight possibility that something similar to what it showed could conceivably have happened between 2.0 and 3.0.
And in defense of 3.0: the only one actually yelling at Shinji was Asuka...which is kind of par for the course with her. Collected and calm conversation aint her thang, yo.
Everyone else was either deliberately not explaining correctly or at all to manipulate (Gendo&Kaworu) or was highly conflicted and cut short by a sudden case of clone crashing through the wall (Misato&co).
...not defending the pink bridge bunny, though. Girl got ´tude, but the wrong kind.
