I'm sure they have the ability to have the arms switch places or have spare arms (two small left, one big left, two small right, one large right). It'd work to confuse the Kaiju. I mean they have the ability to build giant kung fu mecha, I'm sure they can switch out the arms and have them trade places. They probably do since the Wei Tang triplets probably switch places between battles.
