i personally hoped darker than black woulda ended by hei and yin running off and becoming free of the organisation, in love and supporting eachother, the actual end was a bit bleh on season 2 i mean they are scared of the contractors but yet can take their power from them, which in hei's case would have been a meaningless effort as he was more powerful than contractors before he merged with his sister to become one.
