well... turning the world into their paradise was the happiest ending the main characters could wish for, so why wish for something else?

i don't know about you anon2 but Saya dying in order to make the world beautiful to me AFTER i chose in the beginning that I'd rather find the world horrifying but stay with Saya is definitely NOT the happiest ending I could wish for.

actually, it's not that clear whether she died(if we're talking about the ending where Kouji fails and dies), at least for me

judging by the cryptic monologues of Ryouko on mountain platform at the ending, where she was talking/thinking about "glorious wedding to end all weddings", I assume Saya lived on
